Oakley Men's Oo9247 Chainlink Rectangular Sunglasses - Polarized UV Protection for Driving, Running & Outdoor Activities

I have a round face and these fit me perfectly and looked amazing on. I am a long time Oakley fan and have owned dozens of pairs over the years. I tried these on at a local vendor in DC, and they felt great on so when I saw the superior price on Amazon I jumped at the chance to buy a pair. The pair I tried on in the store though were the polished black and fit me perfectly in the store. I liked the look and price of the clear glasses with violet iridium lenses on Amazon. Out of the box, these fit my head perfectly and they were able to perch securely on the top of my head because of the rubber arms. These clear glasses have dark gray rubber along the arms and wrap the lengh of the arm up to the lenses. Immediately upon trying them on I had issues with my peripheral vision picking up a black dot on both sides of my peripheral views because the rubber ends on the lower edge of each arm. This was really distracting to me. I thought I would get used to it so I tried wearing them for about 5 minutes and no luck, my eyes still found the dots in my peripheral vision to be a constant distraction. Also while wearing them for 5 minutes, I noticed that at the 12:00 position on both lenses by the nose bridge they began to steam up. I was not hot or doing anything other than trying them on, so I think these glasses fit my face too good that they were not venting properly. My final comment about the violet iridium lenses is that I did not feel that when I went on my deck of my house and looked out in the sun that my eyes felt well protected. I felt like I was still squinting while wearing these sunglasses and they may have been because of light infiltration through the clear plastic arms and frame around the lenses. For these reasons I opted to return them. I disagree with other reviews that these glasses look and feel cheap. I think they are one of the best looking and well made eyeglasses in the current Oakley lineup. I gave them three stars because they steamed up, have a lot of light transmission and due to the dots in my peripheral vision while wearing them. These may work well for others though.
