I ordered the Arroyo sunglasses in black for my husband. He is the type of person that really doesn't buy anything for himself and he never notices or cares when what he is wearing is long past its prime...He has been wearing the same awful, cheap-looking sunglasses for I don't know how long, so when I ran across these nice looking, high-quality ones, I had to order them. He tried them on as soon as they arrived, and didn't really like them -- he didn't like the style at all and the shape and size of the lenses did not suit him. That is when I realized, the wrong sunglasses had been sent! We actually received the Sonora sunglasses for women... there really isn't that much difference in size -- the frame is not as wide and the lenses are shorter and are rounded rather than the squarish shape of the Arroyos. But it is enough to completely change the look of the sunglasses. Many of the sunglasses from this brand are unisex, but I guess this one just isn't. Good for me, because now I have a new pair of sunglasses...So, this review is actually for the Sonora sunglasses for women:I have a fairly small face, and these sunglasses fit well and are flattering. The sunglasses are light-weight and very comfortable to wear. I can easily forget I am even wearing them. But the frame is strong and feels very sturdy. It is very smooth and the matte finish is excellent. The hinges operate smoothly and hold the temples in position without collapsing once I have taken the glasses off. The temples curve inward just slightly and are angled to fit over my ears without rubbing or digging in. The bridge is nicely contoured and is just the right width; it rests gently on the bridge of my nose without putting any pressure on it. The sunglasses don't slip down and need to be pushed back into position every so often that seems to happen with a lot of my glasses. The lenses are fairly large but not overwhelming on my face and the tint is a nice dark shade that provides excellent protection. They are securely seated in the frame. The optical quality is very high and there is no blur or distortion. The sunglasses are very well made and look great. The current price of $100.00 is quite high, but considering the quality of the materials and workmanship the cost seems reasonable. The sunglasses came with a soft storage bag, although at this price, I would have expected a hard case and a cleaning cloth, too. Aside from receiving the wrong sunglasses, there is one other annoyance -- the box these sunglasses were packaged in was rather torn up and had several gouges along the sides, and the sunglasses were not well wrapped inside. These were an obvious return, and would not have been acceptable if ordered as a gift. Despite being disappointed, I can understand receiving the wrong item by mistake, but I really can't excuse receiving it in the condition it was sent to me, and for that I took off one star.So I have an odd infatuation with sunglasses! I have a ton of them ranging from $5 up to a few hundred dollars. in some cases the cheap ones are just fine, but when it comes to sunglasses, you for sure get what you pay for. The cost of these are at the sweet spot of what you should spend in order to get a noticeably BETTER product! These did not disappoint. I did get them for my wife and and they look amazing on! They come in 2 colors -- black and tortoise shell brown. Both are equally as sexy! The technology they claim to use in the lenses seems to be very high end and not only do they block out the sun but they have blue light protection as well. There is only so much I can say about a pair of sunglasses, but in a nutshell...they look great, they feel great while wearing them (they are not too heavy or too light to the point that they feel cheap. The lenses are pretty close to perfect and they do what they are supposed to do and they do it extremely well! Bottom line.... these are a must have! If are are going to get them, then you need to get them from here, because on there site they are almost 50 bucks more!!!! I will be ordering the black ones as well!
