Costa's encapsulated mirrors (between layers of the glass) are scratch-proof. Costa's glass lens is 20% thinner and 22% lighter than the industry's average polarized glass lens while still blocking 99.9% of glare. 580P – Polycarbonate Polycarbonate is the lightest and most durable lens material option. Providing high clarity, impact resistance and light weight all day wear-ability. The C-WALL molecular bonded mirrors provide the most scratch-resistant and smudge-free barrier, repelling water, oil, and sweat for easier cleaning. Polarization Polarized lenses are essential for anyone who spends time outdoors - especially on the water. But, not all polarized sunglasses are created equal. Costa is 99.9% polarized, providing the best efficiency available so that reflective glare is blocked-reducing eye strain and headaches. Mirrored Costa's mirrors are more than an aesthetic and a necessity in harsh sunlight. Made through a high-tech ion beam deposition process, these multilayered thin film coatings make for the most scratch-resistant mirrors out there. Read more

This is my first quote on quote nice pair of shades wanted something for everyday also for the beach and fishing most importantly! I dident know at first that the price was woth the hype but I think there worth it due to there lifetime warranty, so hopefully they do honor it if I come into trouble if they don't u will see a diff reportThese Costas are great, very comfortable and lightweight.I got this to replace my 2nd Maui Jim Red Sands that I had left on a table at a party and forgotten about. I couldn't justify spending another $230 for sunglasses and came across these that were similar in stylr and size that were on sale for just over $100. For half the price of a Maui Jim, I thought why not.Pros: I was surprised they made these with glass lenses and they were still just as lightweight. They're true mirror lenses so others aren't able to see your eyes unlike the red sands. Being real glass, they are quite clear but I can't tell if they really are clearer than polycarbonate lenses. I haven't taken these out fishing on the lake or ocean yet but that's what Costas were made for so looking forward to see how well they perform in their natural environment.Cons: Being glass lenses, they are not shatter resistant like plastic lenses so I won't be wearing them while riding my bicycle in case I faceplant on the sidewalk again- hence getting a 2nd pair of red sands as I believe they saved my eyes. They're a bit smaller than my Red Sands so they're not as comfy. They wear a bit tight on my big head so a bit squeezy. They also don't have adjustable nose pads so they rest on my high cheek bones.Although I am satisfied with them especially for the price, I am now questioning on whether I should have gotten these with glass lenses because my goto eyewear is now my Ray-Ban aviators which are also glass lenses. Would have been nice to have a sunglass with polycarbonate lenses for more physical activities. So first thing obviously you should do when you get your glasses is inspect them, I made this first mistake. Glasses came one of the arms was sorta bent and lose from the get go, me never owning an expensive pair of glasses though okay maybe they are loose then I realized it was sorta bent. The second thing was that my wife pointed out was the lense it's self was already scratched. Sadly I work wonky hours and had no time to return nor did she. MORAL OF THE STORY the glasses are great even with the small screw ups, I would highly recommend buying glasses from this seller & I would buy a second pair If I wasn't married. Glasses them self 10/10 they are made for a smaller head so if you wear large hats, L Fitted hats, THE RINCONS are the choice not the rinconcitos.Very comfortable and great view through them. Feel very cheap and flimsy for costas though and scratch easy, slipped out of my hand one time and one of the lenses are ruined, not glass. No complaints from my new Costa’s. I had been an Oakley customer for years and years, but their product has declined over time. The last 2 pairs of Oakley’s I purchased didn’t last very long at all and the lenses were terrible. The new Costa’s are holding up strong and look great.got these for a Christmas gift. tight around the ears and not able to stretch out.. love the color and the durability of them tho!I have heard so much about Costa 580G sunglasses. Compared these Costa Green Mirror Copper Base lenses to several Oakley polycarbonate lensed sunglasses. The day was sunny with some clouds moving through so all sunglasses were tested under variable lighting conditions bright sun to clouds over the course of the day.The Oakley Prizm Polarized lenses on two different pairs of sunglasses were sharper and clearer. Those lenses were a gray base and copper base. The Oakley lenses on 3 other pair were Polarized only and no Prizm technology. Those lenses were a copper base and two gray bases. They were all sharper than the Costa. Can't explain it but for my eyes the Oakley's are superior. I liked the Rinconcito style and size but noticed that when removing the Rinconcito glasses the temples would squeak at the hinges. They were light weight for glass lenses and supposed to be very durable. Would not know about the durability since these glasses are being returned. My Oakey Polycarbonate lenses will not be as durable and are more likely to be scratched than the glass Costa. I am used to keeping them covered and a glasses case. So, I guess it all depends on the wearers eyes and the only way to find the right lens is to try different lenses. You cant really try a variety of lenses at a store under various lighting and reading conditions so that makes it difficult to really test them properly. I really wanted to like these glasses and keep them but the clarity just was not there, for me. Thanks.Calidad de terminados, materiales y los lentes son inigualablesLe produit plus petit que décrit... étrangePues se ve bien y espero que no sean falsas
