Description

Think of the cdi max as the original cdi on steroids.  with a larger frame, thicker lenses and a whole lot more attitude, this is the ultimate sunglass for those who live life to the max. The extra-tough 2.4mm lenses are some of the thickest of any sunglass in the world, and with maximum lens wrap you'll be more covered than ever before. Similar to the battlefield-proven cdi, the cdi max features the ESS lateral exchange system, allowing you to quickly Adapt to your environment by interchanging any of the five available lens colors. Medium-large fit. Compliant with U.S. Mil spec MIL-PRF-31013 (clause 3.5.1.1), ANSI Z87.1-2010, CE en 166, and U.S. Federal OSHA. All cdi max lenses provide 100% UVA/UVB protection. The cdi max kit includes: a Desert tan cdi max frame, two sets of high-impact lenses (clear & smoke gray), an elastic retention strap, a zippered hard case and a Micro-Fiber drawstring pouch.

I ordered these from the US and had them shipped directly to my location in Afghanistan to accompany my deployment. Shipping was fast, they made it here before I did. Overall quality is excellent, and I ordered replacement lenses in amber and copper. The copper color goes great for those not so bright days and you can see indoors also (had to order from another site, could not find on amazon). Anyway, quality is great and I'll do a pro/con like everyone likes. These are low profile as stated, but I found that while wearing body armor in a standing position (you know how you have to tweak your head just right to get around your kevlar collar) my optic sight on my rifle was not visible. It seems that I look right over the bridge of my nose, placing my tip of nose on the charging handle of the M4, the nose bridge of these glasses blocked view of the sight. So I went back to my issued ESS that have the lense that wrapps around.Pros:1. solid construction and quality2. ability to change lenses by simply colapsing the glasses and sliding the lense out3. the replacement lenses come in a small carrying case, you could easily fit them in your pocket or and empty pouch on the body armor.4. come with a case and headband.Cons:1. Limited field of vision (see remarks above)Overall these are great shades that fit in your pocket easily and can be used for a wide variety of projects and circumstanses. I have super long eyelashes that the ladies are crazy about, but they dont get in the way with these. I still wear my issued glasses for shooting in body armor because of the listed problems.
