These are my second pair of Maui Jim’s. They are light, comfortable, and the optics are very good which make them a pleasure to wear, but I have had pairs that cost far less that had the same qualities and maybe as or more durable. The durability is to soon to judge but for the price they need to be twice as durable to have the same value as the other pairs owned.I like them overall. I used to have the matte finish, but I lost them on a recent trip.I’ve had both the blue lenses and the tan lenses in the matte finish, and like them both. I decided to try the gloss finish this time. I like them, but they are definitely shiny and smudge easy.It is taking me a while to get used to them from the matte. But I think when it’s all said and done I may like them more, they are growing on me for sure.Protection at the beachLooked all over town. Found them here on Amazon and ordered them Tuesday evening. They were at the Hub for pickup at 2pm the next day!!!!!I have had the Stingray in the tortoise since 2016 and I love them. The Peahi in the tortoise is like a big brother to the Stingray. The fit is perfect for me just like the Stingray, not too large and these have the most amazing wrap out there. I can also snug these right up against my face without having my eye lashes raking the inside of the lenses, which eventually mucks up the clarity and requires frequent cleaning. Let me say that the tortoise frame is the one to get, MUCH BETTER than the rubber. It is not even close. When you hold these in your hands you instantly feel the quality of craftmanship, just as I do with my Stingray frame. Last week I received the Local Kine from MJ directly and the frames no longer say 'Made in Italy'. So not sure where they are made now. The tortoise frames are VERY comfortable, more so than the rubber, which left me feeling like I was slipping on a straight jacket, with the rubber frames there is not enough room for ventilation of your face. I can see why some complain of the fogging with the rubber frames. You will not have that issue with the tortoise, and not to worry, the tortoise frame blocks just as much ambient light from sneaking in. I was also happy to see that the outer box came label-sealed, ensuring that these have never been tried on by someone else, I included a picture of that. And the design of the other end of the box is such that it is impossible to open without tearing the box. So happy to have these!I’ve owned dozen’s of sunglasses over the years, but decided to go after quality this time. Yes, Ray-B’s have been good to me, but These are even better! Pricey yes, but I’ll pay for quality and not made in China. Polarizing, comfort, clarity and color enhancing all superior to others I have owned in the past. These are the second pair of Maui Jim Peahi Wrap's I've owned. Seeing that we currently have to wear a face covering during this Covid-19 pandemic, this particular model, you will see some fogging of the lens because of the fact they are glass. If the lenses are cold and you put them on with a warm face, they will fog a little do to the fact of the glass lens. Having said that, I'm not aware of a better clarity and polarized lens on the market and you get that because OF THE GLASS instead of a plastic material. Best time of year to use and view through them in my opinion is during the fall season. If you live in an area that you can experience the changing of leave colors, these will impress you no doubt! Having accidently, after having these for over 10 years, sat on my previous pair a few weeks ago, caused one of the lens to crack. Even then, they did not break but caused a viewing obstacle which was rather annoying. I couldn't convince myself to get anything other then the same pair. I will also say the tech in the lenses has improved from my previous pair. Sorry for the long review, just think these sunglasses deserve a proper review. There, I've said my peace. Buy these, you won't be disappointed! For money spent one would think they would come with a better caseThese Sunglasses are brilliant that fit really well and very stylish.I liked it so much that I bought a spare just in case.Than I bought another one with different lenses colour.I don't have any negative comments about these sunglasses.I have a pair of Oakley Hijinx. I believe are similar, but not as good with the quality and style compared to Maui Jim Peahi.Maui Jim lenses are different to other brands. These are polarized lenses, where you can see clearly.I have included photos of different Maui Jim Peahi as well as different Oakley Hijinx styles.Everyone has there own preference, so what is good for me isn't necessary good for someone else.Good product and serviceI still had a blind patch on a country lane in full sunlight. Very frightening!Hi Quality lens and frameI am delighted with my sunglasses, high quality with super clear definition.
